Then hearth was created just for you!

After the birth of my son, I had no idea what to expect (where's the follow up movie with Cameron Diaz and Rebel Wilson?!). After pregnancy, I was scared about ongoing pain and if anything I was experiencing (pain, leakage, weakness) would be "permanent." I had heard horror stories from friends and coworkers, and I was concerned I would never run or workout like I did prior to pregnancy. So many of these topics, e.g., mastitis, sex after birth, body changes, and even depression, felt taboo because of embarrassment or shame.

Luckily, I connected with Laura weeks after giving birth. She reassured me that permanent pain, weakness, and leakage were not the expectation (nor were they the result!). Not only did she help with postpartum exercises, she supported me when I had concerns common to most new mothers. When I gave my son formula because I was struggling with milk supply, I cried, but Laura helped me with my concerns in a supportive, one-on-one environment. She provided preventative and treatment information about lymphatic massage and diastasis recti; topics I wouldn't have known to ask about, but played a really important part of my recovery! She was even able to observe my son nursing, and make recommendations on ways to overcome some challenges, which was welcomed after weeks of copious spit-up!

I am proud to say that I am training for an Ironman in eight months, and my son is happy and healthy.

Any new or expecting mom should consider a consultation with Laura.  It's the best investment in yourself (and helps you be the best version of yourself for your newborn).
